Activated carbon OU-A (GOST 4453-74) is a high-quality activated carbon, manufactured of environmentally friendly raw materials (birch-wood carbonizate) under exposure of water vapour at temperature 800-950° C, followed by grinding. Activated carbon OU-A is a fine-grained porous material.
Has highly developed total porosity, wide range of pores and large specific absorption surface (over 1200 m2 of 1g of carbon). With its unique properties activated carbon OU-A is perfectly suited for cleaning and purification of various liquids and solutions.
In pharmaceutical industry for solution refining, in manufacturing tablets, antibiotics, blood products, and in food industry for manufacture of liquors, low alcohol and soft drinks, wine clarification; in production of cigarette filters; cleaning of starch solutions, bleaching and deodorization of oils and fats, in chemical, oil and natural gas industries; in manufacture of rubber, for water treatment; in manufacture of personal protective equipment.
