Activated carbon UAI-1 is made of wood-based activated carbon BAU-A by applying silver to its surface in the amount of 0.08-0.11% by weight. Each manufactured batch of activated carbon is tested by indicators for compliance with specifications requirements by technology department, and by a number of additional indicators that are not reflected in specification, but important in determining the quality of activated carbon used in distillery industry for sorting processing.
Silver-impregnated activated carbon UAI-1 is characterized by similar properties to carbon BAU-A GOST 6217-74. Additional application of silver to the surface of activated carbon contributes to deeper sorting processing, enhances catalytic activity of carbon, significantly improves organoleptic properties of produced vodka, makes it soft and pleasant in taste.
Along with the use of activated carbon in sorting processing at liquor plants this activated carbon is used to purify drinking water and in water treatment systems.
