Wood-based activated carbon BAU-A is made of wood charcoal of A grade by treating it with water steam at temperatures above 8000C with its pre- and post-crushing and screening. Each manufactured batch of activated carbon is tested by indicators in accordance with GOST 6217-74.
It is characterized by highly developed total porosity, wide range of pores and significant value of specific absorbing surface. Such characteristics make it possible to effectively use BAU-A for cleaning liquids of a wide range of contaminants (from the small ones, commensurable with iodine molecules, to the molecules of fats, oils, petroleum, chlorinated compounds, etc.)
This activated carbon is used:
– to absorb impurities of solutions and water;
– to clean drinking water and in water treatment systems;
– to refine steam condensate of oil and other impurities;
– for filling acetylene cylinders;
– in waste water treatment.
